Huddersfield Giants prop Keith Mason has been ordered to appear in front of the Rugby Football League’s disciplinary committee tomorrow on a charge of striking.
The former St Helens and Wakefield Trinity Wildcats forward has been cited by the RFL’s match review panel for the alleged offence during Friday’s 22-8 win at Wigan Warriors.
Mason’s team-mate Darrell Griffin and Wigan second rower Harrison Hansen have received cautions for striking during the same incident - which earned them spells in the sin bin - but have not been called to appear before the committee.
Meanwhile, Wakefield scrum-half Danny Brough and Castleford Tigers full-back Ryan McGoldrick have received cautions for using foul and abusive language in matches at the weekend.
